Research laboratory
Media, communication and digital technology
The laboratory has the following missions:
- Develop ISIC's scientific research policy and work towards its implementation.
- Organise and consolidate scientific research in information, communication and new technologies.
- Bring together, in a synergistic and proactive way, research efforts that were previously scattered, fragmented and uncoordinated, in order to support large-scale research projects and address current issues related to ISIC's areas of interest.
- Promote scientific research in information and communication and related technologies at the national, regional, interregional and international levels.
- Be a platform for meetings, for incubating ideas and projects and for building on research initiatives already undertaken, among all researchers from academia and elsewhere, able to advance scientific research in the field.
- Provide expertise in ISIC's fields of activity.
- Contribute to international research on media, communication and information and communication technologies.
- Provide scientific supervision to ISIC doctoral students and to those hosted through partnerships with other institutions working in the same fields.
- Organise training placements for young researchers or lecturers-researchers to strengthen their research potential in ISIC's fields of specialisation.
